Changes your job to Swordman. By changing class at the Guild you also learn Fatal Attack, Survival Instinct, and HP Recovery While Moving.

On the 2nd floor of the Criatura Academy, talk to Sam.

Sam will give you a Swordman Manual.

You can return the Manual by talking to the Assistant Niels.

This step is optional.

You may change class directly at the Academy, but it is recommended to change class at the Guild.
